Freedom Writers' diary

I think I would invite someone who lived during world war II like Anne Frank. I'm sure we would learn many things about the war.

If you don't try to understand him he doesn't want to understand you. They learn to know people from inside.

People in the gangs try to fit stereotypes, but they don't really exist.

The Freedom Writers are Black, Caucasian, Asian and Latino.

The "hood" is dangerous, there are graffiti on the walls, beer bottles filling trashcans, empty cigarette packs and syrings on the floor.

Sometimes their parents are dead or in jail (diary 6) so they are absents.

They are killed someone (diary 12).

Their problems are Racial riots, Discrimination, gang rivalry and buying a gun to survive.

It's not easy to lose a friends even in the hood. But for their it's usual to lost someone: a friend , a family member in an indeclared war in the US.

She teaches them to question things. They can change and not stay into their stereotypes.
